Brief Synopsis- Tally Youngblood lives in a dystopian city where everyone is ugly; until you turn sixteen. Tally is getting her surgery to become pretty in just a few days. While trying to sneak into New Pretty Town, Tally meets Shay. Shay knows why people become pretty and what happens to them when they do. Tally soon is escaping with Shay to an unknown beyond but she is caught and must make a choice. What she chooses, changes her life forever.
My Review- This book series is just as good if not better than The Hunger Games. It is so suspenseful and is definitely a page-turner. There are so many shocking twists, that are incredibly mind-blowing. I highly recommend the Uglies books if you are looking for a book series kind of like The Hunger Games. For both girls and guys, this book and series is a must-read.
