Hugo- Movie Review

Brief Synopsis- Twelve-year-old Hugo Cabret lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station, where he sets and fixes all of the clocks. But when he meets a incredibly smart, book-loving girl and the owner of a small toy booth in the train station, Hugo's life, and his precious secret, are put on the line.


My review- What a surprise; another movie from the Best Picture showcase. (It won't be the last one either). I was lucky enough to see this movie in 3D which is how it was originally shot and how it deserves to be seen. The visuals in this film are fantastic and the effects are just as amazing.  One of my favorite performances though, was Sasha Baron Cohen's. He was so hilarious and brought a lot to the movie. One of the greatest things about the film is that it tells people about the history of filmmaking and about one of the pioneers of it all. I am probably one of the few teenagers who actually knew who Georges Méliès was before seeing him portrayed in Hugo. The whole experience though, is magical and I can't wait to see it again.
